LET AT WATCH EACH FILM WITH THE EYES OF FAITH

MOVIES THAT MATTER: Written by Richard Leonard SJ.

MOVIES THAT MATTER:

This is a wonderful thought provoking and inspiring work done by Richard Leonard SJ, and makes us to think how to look at a movie with the eyes of Faith with a Christian Perspective. And he gives critics, information, and message along with the Gospel background with his own skills.
It is a brilliant contribution to the Catholic Church to look at things in a different way to understand the world with the background of Christian Literature. It is quite interesting to read; because of its simple way of presenting the information makes the audiences to read at a stretch. Everything matters when we look at in a meaningful way. He gives a lot of examples and adds inspiring life history of saints. When i read this book with my background unlike Europe and America where films are taken into consideration with the socio, religious, political and cultural background makes me to think. It will be a great help to all especially those who are in the field of communication. The Author teaches in all chapters, how to “read” a film with the eyes of faith, and how to meaningfully engage with others through the media of film. It helps us from the Christian point of view makes us to look at with a new perspective to enrich in our spiritual beliefs. Almost in every chapter he gives us questions to reflect upon to go further to look at with the Lens of Faith.
This wonderful book is not only fascinating, lively and often witty that his way of explaining these films in a different way make us and show us how even the most unlikely movies can also encourage us to pray and draw closer to the divine personally and as a community. A man of great excellent in bringing the life of Jesus and Christian faith in relation with each film based on Christian values and beliefs. Secretly he teaches to every one that every movie has an information and a SPECIAL MESSAGE which everyone should carry those messages in their hearts to live a better life for the good of the Society.
